This guide covers the most common
questions to the web based interface and the setup for some e-mail
clients. As usual, if you have any questions regarding anything,

How do I access
my Web-Based Email account?
You can log on to your Web-Based Email account from your Web browser
by going to the Web address for your account. The Web address is the
same as your domain name, except you replace "www" with "webmail".
For example, if your Web address is "www.nugardt.com", your webmail
address is "webmail.nugardt.com" or as a convenience, we have setup
a login on www.nugardt.com.
What
are the system requirements for Web-Based Email?
- The supported browsers for Windows are:
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0
and later supports all features.
- Mozilla Firefox 1.0 and later
supports all features.
- Netscape 8.0 and later
supports all features.
- Mozilla 5 and later supports
all features.
- The supported browsers for Mac are:
- Mozilla Firefox 1.0 and later
supports all features.
- Safari 1.3 and later supports
all features.
- Netscape 8.0 and later
supports all features.
- Mozilla 5 and later supports
all.
This tutorial shows you how to
set up Microsoft Outlook Express to work with your e-mail account.
This tutorial focuses on setting up Microsoft Outlook Express 6, but
these settings are similar in other versions of Microsoft Outlook
Express. You can set up previous versions of Microsoft Outlook
Express by using the settings in this tutorial.
To Set Up Your E-mail Account in
Microsoft Outlook Express
- In Microsoft Outlook Express, select Tools > Accounts.

- Select the "Mail" tab in the Internet Accounts window and click
"Add."

- Enter you full name and click Next.

- Enter your e-mail address and click Next.

- On the E-mail Server Names window, enter your information as
follows:
My incoming mail server is a
POP3 server
Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP)
server
pop.nugardt.com,
where nugardt.com is your domain name.
Outgoing mail (SMTP) server
smtp.nugardt.com,
where nugardt.com is your domain name.
Click
Next.

- Enter your e-mail address for your account name and enter your
password. Click Next.

- Click Finish.

- Select the mail account you just created and click "Properties."

- In the Properties window, select the Servers tab.
- At the bottom of the window, select "My server requires
authentication."

- Select the "Advanced" tab and change the "Outgoing mail (SMTP)"
server port number to 26. Click OK.

This tutorial shows you how to
set up Microsoft Outlook to work with your e-mail account. This
tutorial focuses on setting up Microsoft Outlook 2003, but these
settings are similar in other versions of Microsoft Outlook. You can
set up previous versions of Microsoft Outlook by using the settings
in this tutorial.
To Set Up Your E-mail Account in
Microsoft Outlook
- In Microsoft Outlook, select Tools > E-mail Accounts.

- On the E-mail Accounts wizard window, select "Add a new e-mail
account" and click Next.

- For your server type, select "POP3" and click Next.

- On the Internet E-mail Settings (POP3) window, enter your
information as follows:
Your Name
Enter your first and last name.
E-mail Address
Enter your e-mail address.
User Name
Enter your e-mail address, again.
Password
Enter the password you set up for
your e-mail account.
Incoming mail server (POP3)
Your incoming server is pop.nugardt.com,
where "nugardt.com" is the name of your domain.
Outgoing mail server (SMTP)
Your outgoing server is smtp.nugardt.com,
where "nugardt.com" is the name of your domain.
Click
"More Settings."

- On the Internet E-mail Settings window, select the "Outgoing Server"
tab.
- Select "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication."
- Manage Email Accounts page.

- Select the "Advanced" tab and change the "Outgoing server (SMTP)"
port to 26.
- Click OK.

- Click Next.

- Click Finish.

This tutorial will help you set
up the Mozilla Thunderbird e-mail client to work with your e-mail
account.
To Set Up Your E-mail Account in
Mozilla Thunderbird
- In Mozilla Thunderbird, select Tools > Account Settings.

- Select "Email account " and click Next.

- Enter your name and e-mail address.

- Select "POP" as the type of incoming server you are using. Your
incoming server is pop.nugardt.com,
where "nugardt.com" is the name of your domain. Click Next.

- Enter your e-mail address for the "Incoming User Name," and
"Outgoing User Name." Click Next.
- Enter a name for your e-mail account and click Next.

- Verify your account information and click Finish.
- In the Account Settings window, select "Outgoing Server" listed
below your new account.

- Enter smtp.nugardt.com, where "nugardt.com" is
the name of your domain, for the "Server Name" and change the
"Port" setting to 26.
- Select "Use name and password" and enter your e-mail address.
Thunderbird will ask you for your password the first time you
try to send mail. Click OK.

This tutorial shows you how to
set up Microsoft Entourage to work with your e-mail account. This
tutorial focuses on setting up Microsoft Entourage 2003, but these
settings are similar in other versions of Microsoft Entourage. You
can set up previous versions of Microsoft Entourage by using the
settings in this tutorial.
To Set Up Your E-mail Account in
Microsoft Entourage
- Open Microsoft Entourage 2004.
- Select Tools > Accounts.

- Click "New."

- If the "Account Setup Assistant" window displays, click "Configure
account manually."

- Select POP for the account type and click OK.

- On the Edit Account window, enter your information as follows:
Account name
Enter a name for your account, for
example: My Mail, Work, or Home.
Name
Enter your first and last name.
E-mail address
Enter your e-mail address.
Account ID
Enter your e-mail address, again.
POP server
Your incoming server is pop.nugardt.com,
where "nugardt.com" is the name of your domain.
Password
Enter the password for your e-mail
account.
SMTP server
Your outgoing server is smtp.nugardt.com,
where "nugardt.com" is the name of your domain.
Click
"Click here for more advanced sending options."

- Select "Override default SMTP port" and change the number to 26.
- Select "SMTP server requires authentication" and "Use same settings
as receiving mail server ." Click OK.

This tutorial shows you how to
set up Apple Mail to work with your email account.
To Set Up Your Apple Mail
- From the Mail menu, select
Preferences.

- Select the Accounts tab, and click the
plus sign(+) at
the bottom of the Accounts box.

- In the Account Information screen, select
POP from the
Account Type
list, and enter your information as follows:
Description
Enter the name of your account.
Email Address
Enter your email address.
Full Name
Enter your name.
Incoming mail server (POP3)
Your incoming server is pop.nugardt.com,
where "nugardt.com" is the name of your domain.
User Name
Enter your email address.
Password
Enter the password you set up for
your email account.
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)
Select Add Server
from the list.

- When the SMTP Server Options window displays, type
smtp.nugardt.com,
where "nugardt.com" is the name of your domain, in the
Outgoing Mail Server
field and change the
Server Port setting to 26.
- Under the Authentication
list, select Password
and enter your SMTP user name (full email address) and password.
- Click OK.

Use this tutorial to understand
how to set up Evolution to work with your email account.
To Set Up Evolution
- From the Edit menu, select
Preferences.
- Select Mail Accounts,
and click Add(+).

- In the Account Management screen, enter a name to identify this
account and click
Forward.

- In the Identity screen, enter your full name, email address and any
optional information you want to include and then click
Forward.

- In the Receiving Email screen, select
POP from the
Server Type
list and complete the following fields. When you are finished
click Forward.
- Under
Configuration, in the Server
field, enter your incoming server name. For example,
pop.nugardt.com, where "nugardt.com" is the
name of your domain.
- In the
User Name field, enter your email address.
- From
the Authentication Type list, select
Password.

- In the Receiving Options screen, set your preferences and click
Forward.

- In the Sending Email screen, select SMTP from the
Server Type list and complete the following
fields. When you are finished, click
Forward.
- Under
Server Configuration, in the
Server field, type smtp.nugardt.com,
where "nugardt.com" is the name of your domain.
- Under
the Authentication list, select Login
and enter your SMTP user name (full email address).

- Click Apply
to complete the configuration process.
